The Berlin FreeBSD DevSummit will be run “un-conference” style, meaning that the agenda is made by the participants. People can give talks or form working groups around a topic of interest. Developers can invite guests by adding them to the wiki page. You don’t have to have a commit bit to contribute to this event.

Vienna FreeBSD Security Hackathon 2019 June 8-9, 2019 Vienna, Austria

The Vienna FreeBSD Security Hackathon is focused on security, but this is not a strict requirement. The basic idea is to get together with FreeBSD hackers to discuss and work directly on issues resolving as many as we can over the long weekend. Fixing bugs, writing code, adding features, improving the documentation, working on ports, and such are all welcome activities at the event. There is also a sightseeing tour planned on the Monday after.

BSDCan 2019 May 15-18, 2019 Ottawa, Canada

BSDCan is a technical conference for people working on and with BSD operating systems and related projects. It is a developers conference with a strong focus on emerging technologies, research projects, and works in progress. LinuxFest Northwest 2019 April 26-28, 2019 Bellingham, Washington

Join members of the FreeBSD community at LinuxFest Northwest, an annual Open Source event co-produced by Bellingham Linux Users Group and the Information Technology department at BTC. LFNW features presentations and exhibits on free and open source topics, as well as Linux distributions & applications, InfoSec, and privacy; something for everyone from the novice to the professional! Aberdeen FreeBSD Hackathon April 17-19, 2019 Aberdeen, Scotland

Join us for a FreeBSD Hackathon at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. This event is placed at the half way point between AsiaBSDCon and BSDCan to give ardent hackers something to fill their time. More information can be found on the wiki. The registration deadline is March 31, 2019.

Gothenburg FreeBSD Community Day April 7, 2019 Gothenburg, Sweden.

Join fellow FreeBSD community members at a FreeBSD Community Day in Gothenburg, Sweden. Taking place April 7, 2019,  the event will be held in conjunction with the FOSS-north 2019 conference. FOSS-north is a two day open source conference with a  technical focus, two tracks and speakers from all over the world.
