With flash dropping in price and phase-change memory on the horizon, FreeBSD’s storage subsystems need to change so they perform well with these low-latency devices. Join fellow FreeBSD developers and guests at a summit aimed at discussing these issues, proposing solutions, coming to consensus, and then documenting decisions/roadmaps on the FreeBSD wiki. The FreeBSD Storage Summit is sponsored by the FreeBSD Foundation and is co-located with USENIX FAST ’16.
FOSDEM is a two-day event organized by volunteers to promote the widespread use of open source software. The goal is to provide open source software developers and communities a place to meet to get in touch with other developers and projects; be informed about the latest developments in the open source world; attend interesting talks and presentations on various topics by open source project leaders and committers; and to promote the development and the benefits of open source solutions.
